Sony 's new RX-1 mirrorless camera that Sony brouht to us at  Photokina a week and a half ago. It is a full frame sensor camera, in a slightly retro body, that on paper, looked like it could compete with a much more expensive Leica.

However, at $2,800, it made my heart drop. They get you all excited over something potentially cool, and then they reveal the price to you. Not cool. Not cool at all.

Briefly, the RX-1 is a 24MP full frame sensor camera that shoots 14 bit RAW files, has an ISO ceiling of 25,600, shoots 5 frames per second, and records AVCHD 2.0 video. It even sports a 3 inch screen on the back.

And even though the $2,800 price tag stings a bit, after seeing the sample photos that, in my very humble opinion, are 10 times better than the brand new A99 full frame DSLR they just released along side it, I am seriously in full fledged lust. I will have to repent in church on Sunday. I want one bad.
