The MeFOTO Story Considering the age of photography, the digital revolution didn't start too long ago. In that short time, digital technology has made our cameras and lighting gear smaller and lighter. We found ourselves wondering why tripods haven't followed this industry trend of smaller, lighter, and better quality. Also, who made this rule all tripods need to be black? Plenty of digital devices come in a variety of colors. Why not tripods? We currently have eight colors in our tripod line to choose from. They're lightweight, yet strong enough to support a full size DSLR. These full-sized tripods fold up to fit in your suitcase or backpack. Now you can take your compact tripod with the rest of your sensibly-sized photo gear wherever you capture images. MeFOTO creates a better photography experience with products that support your camera without weighing you down. And we'll never say they only come in black. Since  I got done with the video they have released the  Globe Trotter Great for both compact and full frame cameras with larger lenses plus converts to a monopod in seconds. Only 16.1" when folded yet 64.2" extended and can support 26.4 lbs. Available in both aluminum and black
